Required skills help you match each asset with the most suitable researchers. By defining the expertise needed in advance, you make it easier for researchers to identify programs that fit their abilities and ensure that assets receive high-quality, relevant testing.
Adding skills to assets

Go to Admin > Assets.
Open the Skills dropdown.
Select one or more skills that reflect the expertise needed to test the asset.
Close the dropdown to save your selections.
To remove a skill later, simply deselect it in the Skills dropdown and close the dropdown again to save the change.

Automated skill suggestions
Automated skill suggestions help you keep your required skills accurate over time. The platform highlights skills that researchers have used in your recently accepted or resolved submissions. This makes it easy to add missing skills or remove those that are no longer relevant.
Go to Admin > Assets.
Open the Skills dropdown.
Click Apply or Ignore to respond to all suggestions.
Close the dropdown to save your selections.

Be specific when selecting skills so researchers understand the expertise your asset requires.
Review and update required skills when the technology, scope, or focus of an asset changes.
Use automated skill suggestions regularly to maintain accurate and meaningful asset configurations.
