The program lifecycle reflects the different stages a program goes through on the Intigriti platform, from initial setup to final closure. Understanding these states helps you manage researcher expectations, control visibility, and handle submissions consistently throughout the life of your program.
Manage program status
βοΈRoles: Company Admin, Program Admin
You can manage the status of your program from the program settings.
Open your program.
Go to More > Settings.
Select the desired status.
Changes to the status take effect immediately and impact how your program is discovered by researchers.
Program states
Wizard & Draft
Programs start in the Draft state, regardless of their configured confidentiality level. While in Draft, the program is not visible to researchers and cannot receive submissions. You can already configure all program settings and even pre-invite researchers, but invitations are only sent once the program is launched.
π‘Note: Changes made during the Draft stage are not tracked in version control.
Open
When a program is open, it becomes visible on the platform according to its confidentiality level. Researchers who have access can view the program details, test the defined scope, and create submissions. This is the active phase where your program receives new submissions.
Suspended
A Suspended program is temporarily paused. While suspended, researchers can still view the program details but cannot create submissions and are not expected to continue testing the scope.
Programs can be suspended in two ways.
Automatic suspension occurs when there is not enough budget left to cover new submissions. Learn more about program auto-suspension here.
Manual suspension allows you to intentionally pause the program, for example to take a break or address internal constraints.
π‘Note: If you do not plan to reopen the program, moving it to closing is recommended so researchers do not wait for it to resume.
Submissions that were already submitted before the suspension remain in the queue and should continue to be reviewed and handled as usual. Suspending a program does not pause triage and submission handling.
Closing
The closing state indicates that the program is being phased out. No new submissions are expected, and the program will be fully closed once all remaining pending submissions have been reviewed and handled. This state helps researchers understand that the program will not reopen and that they should shift their focus to other programs.
Closed
Once the last submission has been moved to Closed, the program transitions from Closing to Closed. A Closed program has reached the end of its lifecycle. It is no longer published on the platform and cannot receive any new submissions.
Best practices
Keep your program in draft until scope, rewards, and internal processes are fully ready for launch.
Use the suspended state intentionally to pause activity and avoid confusion when submissions cannot be handled.
Move programs you do not intend to reopen to closing to clearly communicate expectations to researchers.
Monitor budget levels closely to prevent unexpected automatic suspensions.
Communicate lifecycle changes internally, as transitions can affect submission volume and remediation workload.
