Everyone is able to report illegal content to Intigriti

We encourage everyone that finds content that might put into danger or offend our community, to please address it to our team directly. Our platform is committed to maintaining a safe and lawful environment for all users. We have a zero-tolerance policy towards illegal content, including hate speech, copyright infringement and more. We take all reports of illegal content seriously and act promptly to investigate and remove such content.

How to report illegal content to our team

Via Intercom:

  • Open/log onto the Intigriti platform and click ‘report illegal content’ in the bottom-right corner.

  • A template message will show which you can complete with all relevant information. You will be put directly through to Intigriti’s Support team.

  • The content report will then be acknowledged by Support, who will then (internally):

    • Assign the ticket to the ‘Illegal Content’ team within Intercom as a way of keeping track of all requests and reports in this context.

  • Support will then escalate and inform the relevant parties within Intigriti (e.g. the Legal team) of the report so that an investigation can be launched, and action can be taken thereafter to mediate the issue.

Our moderation policy

Identifying and removing illegal content

We will take a proactive approach in identifying and removing illegal content, as soon as a user reports such or, where possible, before they report such as a means of damage limitation and protecting our Community from the said content. If the content has been posted on one of our social channels, such as our Discord server, for example, it will be immediately deleted and removed from the server if it is not caught by our internal Auto Moderation rule set-up beforehand. If the content has been posted elsewhere on our platform, Community will liaise with Product and any other relevant teams (like Legal, for example) to ensure that the said content is removed swiftly where possible. We reserve the right to immediately take legal action in the event of extremely harmful content that poses an immediate threat to the safety of individuals.

Handling complaints and appeals from users

Users do have the right to complain and/or appeal if they are directly affected in any way by the Community team’s content moderation policy. In such cases where end-users would like to complain or appeal, they may submit a request via our Support channels. The request will be logged appropriately, in accordance with the process outlined in ‘How to do so' above and will be assigned to the ‘Illegal Content’ team in Intercom. Thereafter, the complaint/appeal request will be flagged and escalated internally, to ensure that we remain compliant with legislation and meeting the expectations of our Community.

Providing information to users on the reasons for content removal

Users should and will be notified if and when content affecting them is removed. For users that have posted the content initially, they will be notified in a vaguer manner for privacy purposes, and they will be informed that what they have posted goes against Intigriti’s Behavioral Guidelines, as stated in our Community Code of Conduct. If they are a repeat offender, harsher penalties could be introduced if they are deemed necessary, including but not limited to temporary platform account suspensions and further action thereafter, should it be needed.

If a user has reported the said content on our platform and we have, thereafter, taken action, the reporter will also be notified that their report has been actioned. They will be reminded that we are committed to ensuring a safe environment for all users on our platform, and they will also be encouraged to submit any further reports to our team, should they feel it necessary to do so concerning any content that is posted in the future.
