This article provides you with all information needed to create a secure connection between any Jira instance and the Intigriti platform.

This is step 1 of 2 of setting up your Jira Integration.

What will the Jira connection do?

This connection will allow you to securely expose (a selection of) Jira projects on these instances to the Intigriti program members and have them push submissions straight to your solution teams workflows / kanban boards.

What do I need?

  • A Jira administrator to help you create an integration user and setup an application link in case of a Jira Server or Data Center instance.

  • An Intigriti company administrator to help you setup the secure connection on the Intigriti platform

Preparation in advance

Three things need to be taken care of in advance when you want to setup a stable and secure connection between the Intigriti platform and you Jira instance(s).

  • Check where your Jira instance(s) is/are hosted i.e. Server, Data Center or Cloud.

  • Grant access to your Jira host from Intigriti IP address 35.205.43.17

  • Create an Intigriti integration user with Jira project administrator permissions for the specific set of Jira projects that you want to expose to the Intigriti platform. This user will be used to authenticate, report issues and post issue comments.

Step-by-step: Creating the connection

In this step we will help you create a secure connection between your Intigriti account and any Jira instance(s) of your choice in order to expose (a selection of) you Jira projects to the different Intigriti programs of your liking.

This step is a predecessor for the setup process (Configuration) in which you will be able to select which individual Jira projects on these instances to expose to which Intigriti programs.

To configure a Jira Connection, perform following actions alternately in all Jira and Intigriti instances that are involved. If you don’t have admin rights to one of these, make sure to reach out to your organisations administrator for help.

Jira Server & Data Center

See how this works:

  • Go to Intigriti > Admin > Integrations (Intigriti’s integrations section).

  • Go to Jira > Jira Administration > Applications > Application Links (Jira’s Application Links console).

In Intigriti, perform following actions ...

  • Open the Jira Connection configuration page by clicking Open configuration.

  • If this is the first connection on your Intigriti account, click Setup your first connection, else simply click the + button to add a new integration

Verify the connection

When the Jira Connection is setup successfully, you will be able to see the details of the authenticated user and you can start configuring integrations between your Intigriti Programs and Jira Projects.
